In 2020 West Bletchley Council commissioned a Biodiversity & Habitat survey for the Parish. For further information please follow this link.

In 2019 West Bletchley Council made a climate declaration acknowledging that we all need to act on the causes and impacts of climate change. The Council subsequently prepared a Climate Action Framework which sets out a number of ways in which we aim to reduce our local climate impact and improve biodiversity with an overall goal of becoming carbon neutral by 2030.

A Carbon Footprint Audit was carried out in August 2020 to determine the baseline for our organisational footprint, from which we can set a trajectory towards our target of being carbon neutral by 2030.

A number of recommendations have been implemented including fitting solar panels, tree planting and the creation of wildflower verges.

The Carbon Footprint Audit can be viewed below along with a number of useful articles on how you can improve biodiversity and reduce your carbon footprint.
