Purpose of Committee :

• To provide a forum to oversee the development and implementation of the council’s planning, licensing, highways and transport policies and to consider all aspects of planning within the Parish or development that has an impact on the Parish.

• To consider proposals to improve highways and transport within West Bletchley in accordance with the Council’s Parish Plan.

• To take responsibility for responding to planning proposals submitted to Milton Keynes Council that impact upon West Bletchley and to respond on behalf of West Bletchley Council.

• To ensure input into the local development plan process for Milton Keynes.

• To develop and implement policies within the budget resources made available to the committee.

• To ensure public consultation on all policy proposals prior to implementation.

• To consider all matters relating to public transportation.
