Bletchley Council is keen to support local organisations and our Community
Committee has grant funding available for local organisations which benefit
residents of West Bletchley. If you wish to apply for a grant, click on

Grants
awarded since April 2003 are:

Royal
Air Force Association - £350 towards a ramp for disabled access

Royal
Naval Association, Bletchley & District Branch - £1,050 towards the
provision of disabled toilets.

Mary's Church - £10,000 towards the provision of a secure play area and
car parking at the Peter Pan Centre

Milton
Keynes ME Group - £200 to provide support for sufferers of ME

Bletchley Council's criteria for awarding grants are:
-
The
application must be a voluntary group with its own committee and a
constitution / set of aims and objectives. Applications from
individuals will not be considered.

The
work of the group must benefit the community.
-
We
will only fund projects accessible to the people of West Bletchley.
-
We
cannot fund the purchase of equipment which another organisation is
responsible to provide by statute.
-
We
cannot provide funding to replace statutory funding or to pay for something
that is a statutory responsibility.
-
We
cannot provide funding for political, campaigning or narrowly religious
activities.
-
We
cannot provide funding to cover costs that will already be incurred by the
application deadline or to meet a deficit loan.
-
We
cannot provide funding to cover ongoing costs, such as salaries, rents
(except project funding where a small percentage of expenditure may be
allowed to cover a proportion of revenue costs).
-
Grants
are awarded without precedent.
Applications
for grants are considered by West Bletchley Council's Community Committee.
Grant meetings are held in Match, June, September and December.
Deadlines
for receipt of completed grant application forms are the 15th February, May,
August and November. In a genuine emergency, it may be possible to
consider grant applications at ordinary meetings of the Community Committee.
