Purpose of Committee :

  • To provide a forum to oversee the development and implementation of the council’s financial and personnel policies in accordance with its annual budget.

  • To establish both revenue and capital budgets for West Bletchley Council, including committee allocations and make recommendations for the Parish Council during the month of December each year.

  • To oversee the setting of the Parish Precept.

  • To ensure public consultation over budget proposals.

  • To monitor the budget on a monthly basis

  • To develop policies and procedures to ensure appropriate accounting and financial record keeping procedures are in place.

  • To ensure that the annual accounts of West Bletchley Council are prepared as required by law and are audited.

  • To agree all financial contracts related to the running of the Council Office and the general administration of the Council.

  • To be responsible for policy with respect to the employment functions of the Council.

  • To ensure that the required personnel policies and procedures are in place.

  • The Finance & Personnel Committee will be responsible for all matters not delegated to the other committees of the Council
