This part of our website gives information about some of the amenities available within the West Bletchley area.

 

Some of these facilities are provided by West Bletchley Council, and some by other organisations.

West Bletchley Community Centre, Charity Shop

 

The Charity Shop in Porchester Close opens every Tuesday from 9.00am until 4.00pm and on Wednesday mornings from 9.00am to 12.00 midday.  The shop is however closed for the first week of every month.

 

Chepstow Drive Community Centre

 

The Chepstow Drive Community Centre has been providing activities for the community since 1989.  It is on the corner of Chepstow Drive and so is virtually on the doorstep for residents of the Racecourses, Saints and Fairways estates.  The activities currently taking place there include:

  • Rocking Horse Preschool Group on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday mornings

  • Little Steps Montessori Preschool Group on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons

  • Parent and Toddler Group for parents with babies and children under 3 years old on Wednesday mornings

  • Young at Heart activities for the over 50s including games, quizzes and bingo every Wednesday afternoon

  • Slimming World, one evening per week

  • Karate, Sunday mornings

One of our Councillors, Mary Pert, is on the committee of Chepstow Drive Community Centre and tells us that the centre is currently available three nights per week, so if you would like to enquire about hiring the hall or about the activities currently taking place, please contact her on 01908 372528.

West Bletchley Community Centre

West Bletchley Lunch Club

 

West Bletchley Community Association runs a lunch club for the over 60s, although retired people over 55 are also welcome.  The lunch club meets every Tuesday at 12.00 midday at the West Bletchley Community Centre in Porchester Close (off Warwick Road).

 

Membership of the Association costs £2.50 per year.  The cost of the lunch is £2.20 and includes main course, dessert and tea or coffee.  FOr members who have difficulty with transport, Milton Keynes Community Transport bring some existing members.
